Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.

1. Intellectual property

All content on our website and in our materials (including product designs, brand names, logos, texts, price lists, drawings, photographs, and images) is protected by intellectual property laws and remains the property of Rytsola or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, or otherwise use any such materials without prior written authorisation from Rytsola.

2. Product information and variations

We aim to display products as accurately as possible. However:

  • Images are illustrative; colours may vary between screens and real materials.

  • Natural materials (including stone and wood) vary inherently in veining, grain, tone, and texture.

  • Unless explicitly agreed in writing, minor variations within reasonable tolerance do not constitute a defect.

Product specifications displayed on the website and in catalogues may be updated from time to time. The specifications confirmed in your order confirmation govern your purchase.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in the currency stated on the website and may be subject to change at any time. Changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Shipping costs, applicable taxes (including VAT where relevant), and any duties or import charges (where applicable) are presented on our website, at checkout or communicated prior to order confirmation.

In the event of an obvious pricing or typographical error, we reserve the right to correct the error and cancel the affected order (with a full refund of amounts paid for that order).

4. Orders and contract formation

An order becomes binding only when you receive an order confirmation from us (email or equivalent). We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary (for example, due to availability, suspected fraud, or pricing errors).

5. Payment

If payment is overdue we may:

  • suspend production and/or delivery, and

  • charge statutory late-payment interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted.

  • All delivered goods remain the property of Rytsola until full payment of all amounts due has been received.

6. Cancellation policy

All items are produced to order. Your order becomes binding once you receive our order confirmation. You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase, provided production has not started. Once production has started, the order cannot be cancelled. Production is deemed to have started when we place supplier orders, reserve materials, issue production drawings, or begin fabrication.

7. Delivery and transport

Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. We are not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (including carrier delays, customs processes, supply disruptions, or force majeure events).

We may use third-party carriers. Where delivery requires access, measurements, or customer coordination, you are responsible for providing accurate information and reasonable access.

Risk passes to you upon physical delivery of the goods to you (or a person you designate), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

8. Inspection, transport damage, and complaints

Upon receipt, you should inspect the goods promptly.

  • If packaging is visibly damaged at delivery, document it immediately (photos) and notify the carrier where possible, then inform us without delay.

  • Any claim for visible issues or transport damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery, together with supporting documentation.

9. Returns and refunds

As our pieces are produced to order and configured to your selections (including materials, fabrics, and dimensions), returns and refunds are not accepted unless otherwise agreed in writing by Rytsola Oy. Colour, grain, and veining variations in natural materials are inherent and do not constitute grounds for cancellation, return, or refund.

10. Model, material, and dimensional tolerance

Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing:

  • minor dimensional tolerances may occur due to handcrafted production methods and material behaviour.

  • material samples and swatches are indicative.

  • natural variations and reasonable tolerance are accepted as part of the product’s character.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profit, loss of business, or reputational loss).

  • our total liability in relation to any order is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product(s).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including (without limitation) supply disruptions, transport disruptions, strikes, governmental actions, war, fire, flooding, or other natural disasters. In such cases, delivery timelines will be reasonably extended.

13. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy above.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Finnish law.

Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Helsinki, Finland, unless mandatory consumer protections provide otherwise.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order confirmation applies to that purchase.
